Recessed Contacts:

Recessed contacts are hidden in the window frame or door jam so that they can't be seen when the window or door is closed. The Contact is on the permanent or non-movable side of the Door or window and a magnet is placed on the movable side. When the magnet meets the switch the circuit is complete. Doors are the most common point of entry and should be protected by your alarm system. We recommend contacting every perimeter door in your home or business.

Surfaces Mount Contacts :

Surface mount contacts Works the same as recessed ones however they are visible when the doors or windows are closed. Surfaces mount contacts are the most frequent used contacts because of easy of installation. Doors are the most common point of entry and should be protected by your alarm system. We recommend contacting every perimeter door in your home or business.

Commercial Contacts:

Use Commercial Contact Switch on roll-up doors and other doors or gates where it may be difficult to mount regular magnetic contacts. Smaller magnetic contacts have a small operating gap where the contact and magnet must be within half an inch for reliable operation. While those switches are fine for most doors and windows they just won't cut it for Commercial applications. We recommend contacting every perimeter door in your business.
